Michael Glass brings more than four decades of leadership in the title insurance industry to the Meadowlark Title Board of Directors. He has founded and built a title company, sold it to national companies, and led acquisitions for one of the country's largest underwriters.
Michael began his career in 1982 with First American Title in sales and was soon promoted to Agency Sales Manager for South Florida. In 1986, he founded Universal Land Title with a single office in West Palm Beach. Under his leadership, Universal grew to more than 30 offices across Florida, Texas, and Nevada and became the largest title agency in Florida. The company owned and operated title plants in each of its markets, earned national recognition, and served as an agent for all major title underwriters.
Michael also built and operated joint ventures with builders and real estate companies. He oversaw all financial services for a national homebuilder, including title, mortgage, and homeowners insurance, and led a team of more than 300 employees.
Between 2013 and 2014, Michael led the sale of Universal's operations. The Nevada and Texas operations went to WFG National Title Insurance Company, and the Florida operations went to First American Title Insurance Company. He then joined First American as Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for the Direct Division. In that role, he worked closely with First American's home office in California to find and acquire title agencies across the United States.
Michael retired from First American in 2023 and joined the Meadowlark Title Board of Directors that same year. He remains an active member of the board, where his experience in growing, managing, and selling title businesses helps guide the company.
